Rimworld tips for mid games10/19/2023 Depends on what exactly kills you, but in general: Insanity/shock lances, low shield packs and jump packs all are quite readily available and can turn around entire raids on their own. Being afraid of "wasting" one-use or limited items.You can keep around a sniper rifle for specific occasions, but it should really spend most of the time in storage. Everything else is not good enough to be a "standard issue" weapon.Miniguns are very good against tribals, but have an annoying habit of chewing through your own walls in the killbox.Charge rifle is unmatched in late game for dealing with annoyingly common mechanoid raids and outlanders in power armor.It's generally not enough of an upgrade from Heavy SMG. If you design your killbox specifically to take advantage of its long range it might be worthwhile, but otherwise I don't bother.
